Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
And Lords and the Oval will offer something under cloud cover as per usual too.
Look at the 2006 (or 7 was it?) pitch - England were cruisng in the sun before collapsing on the 2nd day after a rain break

(Henry) Get him into the England team (/Henry)
He's Malaysian. But we could probably steal him. Hmmmm.... whatcha reckon Trev?
Dello wrote:Lord's'll be a pancake as usual, but the other pitches should have a little life. Trent Bridge always swings. Old Edgbaston was usually a result ground, so New Edgbaston may well be too.
The Oval'll be a road.
Yeah, probs this. Two sh!tty London roads and a bit of life elsewhere.

Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
Next two days could well see more rain than cricket. That could well be it for India's warm up before the first Test.
Good times.

Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
Did I read in this thread that people are picking Somerset players for England?
Bahahahaha. Flat pitches and fatigued bowlers. Oh yes, pick them on seaming decks. Please. I'm sure Hildreth and Suppiah (LMFAO) will have a cracking run.
"Oh we played on Trent Bridge and scored a 50" - well done, have a cookie.

India taken to the cleaners by Charl Willoughby.
The shame.
Craig Meschede takes his maiden FC wicket. Sachin Tendulkar. That's one to remember. Better than it being David Masters or someone.

It's all right, furry, your boys won't have to face the might of Charl Willoughby in the Tests.
Stuart Broad wouldn't get into the Somerset second XI.

Nope. India torn apart by Saffs.

Well begin is half done, as they say. SRT gets out to a new bowler per usual, Yuvraj LBW Singh seems not know where his feet are per usual.
Dello's sun and clouds SL theory in full bloom and India off to a flying.

Even Meschede sounds like a seth effrican name FFS.
I should write a no nonsense letter to your MPs.

He is. But playing in England under a German passport.
General rule of thumb in England is, if a cricketer is doing well, chances are he's South African in some way.
Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
In other news :Linky: Broad's position the only debate
The story says that "Broad's match haul of 6 for 162 against Somerset, which included 5 for 95 in the first innings, is likely to be enough to spare him the axe..."
Therefore 'Sturat' Broad > Somerset.
And clearly, today we saw that Somerset >>> India.
Case closed.

Factor in a few factors.
Factor 1: Ishant Sharma wasn't playing.
Factor 2: Indian batting was rusty, in "English conditions" too.

He apparently bowled like an utter shitmuncher for that 5/95 then got one pissy wicket in the second dig. No need to panic furris. They probably went out on the razzle last night anyway - mundo coke binge.

You're kidding me!
3/4 bowlers are seth effrican, now that I see that handsome fella Alfonso Thomas in the score card. Bowler # 4 Peter Trego must be feeling slightly embarrassed that he's English.

Yeah, Somerset should be ashamed of themselves. But they're not. You should see some of the T20 sides at the moment. Spot the Englishman is a more interesting game than the cricket.
Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
Huh. I never quite realized how many there were playing county.
@ Peter - they better get unrusty in a hurry, because I doubt Somerset is going to be so nice as to send India in again, even if that were possible.
@Ngam - SRT on coke, I'd pay to see that

He'd probably handle himself as eloquently as he does on camera anyway, which at times can affect a person the same as coke IMO. By 'a person' I mean a celebrity. Which is probably fuzzy logic as they probably are on coke

Tendy probably has a sponsorship deal from Coke, doesn't he?

I sort of remember something to do with Pepsi. Could be wrong though.
