Maybe he's so much of a icon he can just standing there drinking both bottles at the same time.

Basically if you were watching the Eng v SAF U19 game today you would need to have kept a look out in the Saffer side to see who will be playing for us in 5-6 years time.furriner wrote:Huh. I never quite realized how many there were playing county.

Well, they got up to 224 thanks to Raina (103*, 15 4's, 5 6's, S/R 92) - looks like he's booked his place for certain, if he hadn't already.

Strauss approaching a ton. Bad equivalent to be made for the SL warmup though as he made 150 in that and proceeded to be absolute mince in the test series...
Still I guess better for the confidence than a nick off to Zaheer for single figures

Only thing to do is for Dhoni to claim that it's all part of a cunning plan. One look at Fletcher's poker face and they'll all believe it. Unfortunately that'll last as long as the first day at Lords.
I guess I'm grateful - for now - that we aren't playing Somerset in the Tests.

Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
It's not hard to see why India consistently struggle in the first test of a series. They clearly need another warm up game, bit no, the first test starts in three days because as usual, the BCCI has ignored all of the glaring evidence in front of them.

They might not be up to speed with the conditions, but they're cricket fit having played in the Windies recently.
And Lord's is a featherbed, so it's an easy introduction to the series.
Draw.

Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
There's a chance Mick Hunt will feel the pressure to spice up the Lord's pitch and over-compensate, producing a green seamer.
Based on what i've heard, England are very keen to make the most of the home advantage after the very generous pitches they produced in 2007, especially at the Oval where England needed to win the game, but a road was produced.

'Napeshit' is the preferred term these days, replacing 'AGBB'.

Tregonometry.
How about that? Brilliant, eh? No idea what it could relate to in a cricketing sense. But feel the potential...

If he's from the West Country, maybe it should be spelled TregeGnometry.
That would be be my angle. Perhaps I've gone off at a tangent? etc etc

Is it that playing cricket turns you into a lousy forummer?
