Highest partnership for England 3rd wicket against the Bannies at The Bridge beating Strauss & KP's 50 in the 1st innings(!)

12th century partnership for England 3rd wicket at Trent Bridge - first since Tresco & Vaughan put on 110 together against the Snoozers in 2004.

May I advise Bell to get plastic surgery? His current performance is completely at odds with that ratty face.

And as for Bhajji.....I don't even know what he's doing in the side. I suppose I could - barely- live with him trying and not getting anywhere. But that body language suggests that he gave up a while ago. Fark him for that.

Still some work to do. England are more than capable of losing 2, 3 or 4 quick wickets and India are capable of chasing anything up to 300.

There's work to be done but it's England's game to lose now, and I don't see them losing. What with the weather forecast, IMO this game is gone and with it the chance to win the series.

Agree, India look fcuked. The attack looks a bit threadbare without Khan and their batting lineup is disorganised with a few missing. England has a couple of injuries but looks safe.

Outstanding comeback from England. 40 odd behind with India still only 4 down and they somehow conjured only a 67 run deficit.
And now KayPeefohlâ„¢ is out.

Highest England 3rd wicket partnership since Cook & Trott's 251 against the Lankies at Cardiff at the beginning of the summer. Highest at TB since Butcher & Hussain's 189 against the Saffies in August 2003. Highest against India since Gooch & Lamb's 308 at Lord's in July 1990.

File that under BFW, that's only a couple of Tests, hardly worth a comment.Allan D wrote:Highest England 3rd wicket partnership since Cook & Trott's 251 against the Lankies at Cardiff at the beginning of the summer

Bell's best innings. Really appreciating his positivity. Pretty much broken the Indian bowlers. Should the conditions stay the same, the lower order can cause havoc. Shame KP got out, silly shot really, he was looking well set.
