Picture Quiz 8: "Whirled Cricket"

Autumn draws on - this is likely to be the last of these for a while.


It's monster long, probably would have been better to split the thing into two, but wthell .... you know you don't have to tackle all of it (or indeed, any of it)


Twirlers of all sorts this time. In no particular order. (Though some might find a cryptic link between numbers 17 and 18.)

Action pics where I could find them - more interesting. ~ Just a personal view, but the various balletics and "armography" (as they say in dancing), precise finger placements and cocking of the wrist in many different variations around the theme make some of these photos quite a study, as well as a quiz.


The length of this quiz is partly me trying again to "get around the world" in some way representatively (though the choices are not all of the predictable best players), partly an attempt to offer "something for everyone" - some easy, some obscure items, some contemporary, some historic - and partly because I don't have the patience to make two quizzes out of these gathered pictures!
