Ah, yeah, I reckon he probably does - there are (a few) times when he's very matter of fact and actually bothers to opine - at those times he's more concise in his diction.

As for Peter, I thought he'd be in some way well spoken.

It's funny how "diction" has come to mean "(correct) articulation", "enunciation (of words in speech)".

I still think of "diction" as "choice of lexis/vocabulary".

I am not griping here - I know and accept both senses exist.
