Re: Cricket quiz....
Anyway, just shows to me how little cricket is in your average schlob's psyche that they not only post that little easy one as a 'tough' Pointless question, they get Ravinder's name wrong.
England ---> bunch o' qunts.

Re: Cricket quiz....
You've only got Lever's word for it that that was the question, though.
He might have done you up like a kipper.
Question could've been, which one of these isn't a one-day cricketer for England.
All three answers would've been right.

Re: Cricket quiz....
I watched this one yesterday, it was funny because the bloke said to his wife "lets go cricket" and she didn't want to do it saying she knew nothing about it. He completely ignored her and still went for it, then showed that he knew fark all about cricket. He said at one point "I only really know people like Flintoff and Collingwood". Then why the fark did you think you would do well on a cricket question you knob?
Amazingly Matt Prior scored 2 points (can't be arsed to explain Pointless) which I thought was very low. They didn't show all the pointless answers but of the ones shown I got 5 so I would have pissed it if I'd been on the show.

Yeah, then they'd ask some gash question about 2&1/2 Men and you'd have bombed out.
Re: Cricket quiz....
It was the final round so I would have won.
Whether I would have got there is another question. Also, whether I would enter some sh!tty TV show is also another question.

2&1/2 Men and gash. That's the spirit.

I think the fellow was dead right to overrule his wife.
How else would the viewers have got to know what a tool he was?

You bloody sceptic. You've been playing knock off football games with made up names for too long...
I suspect 'Ronnie' as a new nickname is going to stick.

I think the contestants nominate these choices, so in fairness only the nominator was a knob on this occasion.
And at least he didn't say "Tinker Bell".
If you have ever seen Pointless, you will be aware of the dispiriting sight of Alexander Armstrong on to pay his domestic bills and taking it out on the contestants with alternate sarcastic praise ("Well, I'm sad to say we have to say goodbye to you now, you're going straight home without touching the sides, but thanks for coming, you've been such wonderful, fabulously intelligent players" and shrewdly countersunk, withering scorn ("Well, IF it is a correct answer, to say that Johann Strauss is the first woman to captain the England hockey team (*leers to audience with hydraulically raised eyebrow*), let's hope nobody else thought so. Let's see - this is soooooo exciting .....")
And the boffin in the corner is apparently Endemol's artistic director. From the man who painted the inside walls of the Big Brother containers ....

Re: Cricket quiz....
That might have been a better question.
Name three present or former FIrst-Class cricketers in England with the name "Ronnie".
Errrrm, Ronnie Irani for sure ...... errrrrm errrrrrrrm ... Ronnie Boppera .......... errrrr errrrrrm errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm ....... Ronnie Biggs???
No, scrap Ronnie Irani. Ronnie Corbett instead. Ronnie Corbett.
Or hang on - was he called Ronnie Barker?
Armstrong: I'm going to have to hurry you, - much as it pains me to do so .....(*under his breath:*) you thick qunt

Re: Cricket quiz....
I like Pointless. More for the stupidity than the quiz. It's got to be Uni Challenge for the quicket crestions though. Sometimes genuinely tough. Who doesn't realise they're going to be mocked for idiocy on that programme? Idiots, that's who.
Music rounds p!ss me off though. 'You will hear three pieces of classical...'NOOO, you've done classical for the last EIGHT WEEKS. Gimme some frickin contemporary.

Then I think it's a done deal that Ravi will be known as Ronnie from this point forward.
