It's always a feast of thrills and spills.
I notice Punter was out LBW third time in a row. Not looking good. (Or not seeing well.)

Nil for nil off nil point four.
A bit of a waste of time going out, but that's cricket. Cliffhanging on the weather to the last ball.

First time I've seen Steyn live for a couple of years. And wow has he improved. Seems to have it all.
So Trev when we discuss bowlers, it's Steyn and then daylight.

Well he's not Robinson Crusoe. Paris's runs have also dried up. Haddin has haddit & as i've always maintained, Khwaja should not even be in the squad.
Re: South Africa v Australia, 2nd Test, Johannesburg, 17-21 November, 2011
That would be the same Paris who has scored 2 centuries and 2 fifties in his last eight Test innings, and could be the only Australian to have four Test tons in the past year? Just checking to see if I get your definition of 'dried up'Big Dog wrote:JGK wrote:Thanks for your contribution to Australian cricket Ricky

at this rate, Warner is going to jump into the openers spot and Watson move down to 3 or 4 pending Marsh's fitness

FMD - 0-174 then all out 296. Very disappointing.
It's time to go...
Drunky
Haddit
Midge
Unfortch, Fuse's Ollie North-like effort probably gives him a stay of execution.

Just watched the Foxy highlights. Fuse was deadset out off an inside edge before he got to 50, but the Yarps didn't refer it. He then played a terrible shot, a lame nibble outside off, to start the rot. Watto creamed one but was brilliant caught low down in the deep, then Drunky fell over and was gone lbw yet again (hooroo - thanks for the memories). Clarke then played a dreadful shot off a wide ball to be caught at 2nd slip. After that the Yarp bowlers raced through the rest with good bowling.

Another topsy-turvey day for this test match. Hughes had some leg-side catches which weren't referred last series either.
If Saffers put up a big score they can make it tough for the Aussies but it is still very much up for grabs.
Amazing how SA bowled such tripe before lunch and then Steyn just turned it all around.

A dropped catch and a close referral in the first over after lunch.
Outstanding test cricket going on at the moment.

More tests should be started on a Saturday.
More often than not a test takes shape over the first two days, then they can sell slightly discounted tickets for days 3-5.

Yeah, that's true. I went to the SA v Aus test at Cape Town in 2006 and I paid something like that. Maybe 40 rand for an uncovered seat.
