As far as MoM goes, Pattinson was a fair enough shout but Mr Cricket's 89 when Oz were rocking at 27-4 plus his two catches off Sehwag & SRT (particularly the former) in the final innings could also be said to have been the difference between victory and defeat. It certainly shows what a valuable player he is not only as a batsman, but as a fielder and part-time bowler and how difficult he will be to replace.

Is the MoM, the ridiculous popular vote for the whole season?

Good to see CA can find a group stupider than Vodaphone customers to pick the MotM

You wouldn't have said that if Glenn Mitchell was still around.

Re: Australia v India, 1st Test, Melbourne, 26-30 December (II)
well done aus. any team that has 2 collapses in a match does not deserve to win. on course for my 2-0 prediction
gambhir has to go. but i doubt dhoni will drop him anytime soon. too early to drop kohli for sharma, but the latter to me seems the more long term option. the bowling unit looks decent, but the batting really needs to come together
that hussey drop yesterday and the 60 runs for aus today were the biggest difference. india were in with a chance for a 200-220 run chase, which may well have been possible with the reduced pressure

I think I saw James Sutherland standing outside at the end of play with a sign saying "Thankyou and please come again".

What a great pitch prepared for this match AND Hobart, earlier... it's great to see bowlers back in the game.
