Play 4 quicks says curator
"As the debate over Nathan Lyon's position for the third Test continues to rage, the man who knows the WACA Ground wicket better than anyone has backed a four-pronged pace attack.
Lyon is battling with two-Test paceman Mitchell Starc for the right to face India in the third Test, and the New South Wales speedster has received some valuable support in the form of curator Cameron Sutherland.
Speaking exclusively to Fox Sports News on Thursday, Sutherland said it wouldn’t be the "wrong decision" to play four quicks in Perth."
-----------------------------------------
Hopefully this sort of comment is a clear indication he is gone leave plenty of grass on and colour in the wicket.

Reports on the Afternoon news saying Dhoni is telling his players not to react to "Aggressive Australian crowds."

Must be tough. I was at a DOD game at NSO a few years back and the arseholes in the crowd were giving it to MacGoo at Fine Leg unmercifully. It was funny at first and he handled it without blinking an eye, but I thought it got a bit much when they started bringing his wife into it with some very unsavoury remarks.

India have asked for increased boundary security at the WACA ...considering that the WACA employs mainly Indians to do that job it may be just easier than organising tickets for friends and rellies

Clarke is still ambivalent about the spinner/quick issue leaning towards the latter apparently. The first three days are meant to be hot, humid and stormy which is said to be complicating matters though WACA pitches have not necessarily deteriorated a lot so spin may not be required.
Meanwhile Brearley said that India's obdurate attitude over the DRS and other countries' obsequious attitude towards the Indians is a bit of a problem in trying to get uniformity.

FFS...every man & his (Big) Dog knows that we have to have four quicks in Perth. Lyon has been inconsequential so far this Summer. & was even out performed by Clarke on our most spin receptive wicket. Lyon can be easily covered by the part timers. At present he is just occupying a place in the side to no effect.

Yes Lyon has looked impotent against India to date.

Yet Elmer (10 @ 12.60) was more effective v Snoozies than Koo (4 @ 50.00).

Inzamam's response to that monotonous Torontonian sledging "Aloo, aloo, aloo, aloo, aloo, aloo" was a bit more than a bird flip.
The sledging spectator initially denied saying anything against Inzamam, before later claiming that he had been misheard, and was merely saying 'hello' to all his friends.

Here's a surprise, the Indian press beating up nothing not something. Again.
Link.
The pitch in that picture, which is supposedly the 'match strip' has line markings on it. And they appear to be a bit match worn. Therefore it couldn't be the match strip. Can we please revoke the visas of the miserable cnts in the Indian press corps and send them home? They aren't good for the game.

What a lame embarrassment the Bannie press is. Absolutely no doubt the wicket in question is NOT the Test wicket, but an old used wicket. What a bunch of unprofessional clods the gibbering monkeys the Bannie media are.Zat wrote:Here's a surprise, the Indian press beating up nothing not something. Again.
