Well there you go. I was wrong. The One wrote:Zat wrote:Here's a surprise, the Indian press beating up nothing not something. Again.

The pitch in that picture, which is supposedly the 'match strip' has line markings on it. And they appear to be a bit match worn. Therefore it couldn't be the match strip. Can we please revoke the visas of the miserable cnts in the Indian press corps and send them home? They aren't good for the game.
it is the test pitch

Of course, the video in that link shows people walking on the pitch barefoot. I'm prety sure that wouldn't do much by way of damage. Especially bearing in mind the roller - 2 tons or more - has plenty of work coming its way.
Then again, it'll give an excuse if one's needed. And at 4/63 before lunch, one might be.

The word on the pitch "party" last night is that the curator was doing some last minute work on it after 7pm, the rest of the staff were having pre-test drinkies and went out and joined him. Biggest non-story since the last time a B-grade celebrity got divorced.

I also wrongly thought it weren't the Test deck. Oh well.Zat wrote:Well there you go. I was wrong. The One wrote:Zat wrote:Here's a surprise, the Indian press beating up nothing not something. Again.

From cricinfo,

lol, exactly my feelings.

surely after we lose this test there will be some changes for adelaide? sehwag has to go. gambhir is at least showing some gumption. get rahane in instead of sehwag
one of dravid or laxman has to make way for sharma
of course none of this will happen. we will play the same team

VVS could be dropped, but how could you drop Dravid? Thats what pro Dravid brigade would ask you.
Well, except for Eng series, Dravid has been really ordinary over last 3-4 years. Time to show him the door, which is already overdue.

All India at the moment.
VVS looking set for a big one. Kohli a bit streaky but looking comfortable now.
And dammit, I forgot to get on India before the start of play.

As for Sehwag, he has been pathetic in overseas tests for quite some time now. Worst part is that with each of his dismissals, you could see that he doesn't even care.
But sadly as I said earlier, we'll be playing next 2-3 series in subcon and all would be forgotton regarding his struggles overseas.

well, if vvs makes a score here it would be hard to drop him for adelaide. before this test started i would have dropped vvs over dravid

Engrossing session of Test cricket (with a few minutes to go). Highly disciplined bowling against a determined and skillful partnership, but Cot's work and perseverance pays off as he nabs Coaly and VVS in quick succession.

i guess it was just a matter of time
vvs will surely call it a day at the end of this tour. can't see him lasting too long with his back problems and now loss of form

McDermott for Governor General. Or PM. Or whatever. He's really made a difference as coach.skully wrote:Engrossing session of Test cricket (with a few minutes to go).
