Seconded. I didn't dare post during TCS's epic knock.lardbucket wrote:JGK wrote:We'll be lucky to get 150 I reckon.

Zak did make him look a bit ordinary in the last over before stumps when he was just trying to not get out. He obviously should be banned from thinking

Awesome day of great grouseness.
Haven't seen a side so dominated for many a year. The Indians are looking a broken team.
Amazing stuff from Warner, reminded me of the hitting of Gilchrist here during the 06/07 Ashes.
Interestingly four of the fastest seven Test hundreds have been at the WACA...and I've been lucky enough to see three

Just when you thought that India couldn't plumb lower depths they do.
Great knock from Warner but Indians should go into the naughty corner.
As alluded to the toss, the only hope there was of a remotely competitive match was if Australia batted first. Mind you, the way things panned out it probably wouldn't have made a world of difference.

Console yourself that in 2006/7, when England were in the exact same position.... that there aren't 2 more tests to go!

the indian record for most consecutive losses overseas is 17, sometime in the 60s
this could be a record-breaking run right here. most exciting

Perth must be close to having more instances of 100 in a session than anywhere else (even though they've only had tests for 40 years). Off the top of my head I can think of Walters, Fredericks (I think), Hayden, Gilly (maybe x 2) and now Warner.

From the Warner Press Conference
Lame sledge. Lame response.
'When we were out there, there was a bit of banter between Virat and me and Ishant,'' Warner said. ''Virat was saying, 'You talk about your averages and this and that, but when we go to India it's going to be a different story'. I just turned around said, 'Mate, we'll probably average an extra 10 over in India because the wickets here are a bit lively and there they are a bit flat'.

At the risk of woofing an early morning hat trick tomorrow, that's now about 1/770 that India has taken since Cowan was dismissed in Sydney.

quite sad that the young indian players already believe they can only do well against other teams in india. very defeatist

That's the worst sledging exchange I've ever seen. A bowler's equivalent would be "Yeah they said that although I'm taking wickets, I probably wouldn't in different conditions. But I said "Mate, in those conditions I would probably take more"".
I feel like I lost something I'll never get back whilst reading that, and then again when I wrote the above.

Is it so long ago since we were pissing ourselves laughing at the prospect of Warner playing test cricket?
