Re: Euro 2012 Thread
They simply struggle to beat technically strong possession minded teams like Spain and Italy

Well done to the Balotellis. I thought the Krauts would march over them.
Even though I despise them for their cheating theatrics, I'll probably go for pizza-chewers in the Final.

What's happened to Vialli the manager? He went okay at Chelsea. Is he out of the game altogether now?
Re: Euro 2012 Thread
He never got over the Watford thing, I don't think. He much prefers a bit of journalism.
Re: Euro 2012 Thread
It's amazing that a few years ago Spain were up there with as massive under achievers on the international stage yet now they look as though they are about to become joint most successful team at the Euros in terms of number of wins and this team will go down in history as one of the great teams.
6 years ago as England fans we could always say "At least we aren't Spain". How things change.

Wwwweeeeelllllllll. This is no longer a contest. Spain are (obviously) totally dominating because Italy are playing the same formation they were in the semis... should've gone back to a 3-5-2... it's too late now though. It'll need a Balotelli miracle now, because they already looked f*cked.
Re: Euro 2012 Thread
And that kids is why you are careful with your subs and don't use all of them with half an hour left to go.
Having said that I only have it on in the background so if the last sub was made due to an injury then I stand corrected. If not, school boy error.

Can't believe some people think Spain play boring football, it's orgasmic to watch at times.

Well, we know you're a big fan of all things Spanish...vilkrang wrote:Can't believe some people think Spain play boring football, it's orgasmic to watch at times.
That was a footballing exhibition, showed a few people who said they had no cutting edge. I have to admit I thought they had lost their purpose a bit despite all the possession, and taken their eye off the ball in terms of the main objective which is to score goals.
Four a row in Brazil will take some doing though...

Looks like the rest of Europe can't hold a candle to Spain on the sporting field but some of the others can manage an economy a lot better.
