I'll try again-
5.4= Still worse than before. And many people have given up looking for work, hence the skewed figures.
3.25= And what about savers? Not everyone in Australia is a first home buyer or borrower. Interest rate cuts are actually BAD news for the majority, and are a sign of a weakening economy.
1.2= See my previous post.

SO you'd prefer interest rates and inflation to be higher?

Sorry did the GFC happen or not?

What I'm saying is, the lower interest rates and inflation are a result of the economy weakening, and a strong Australian dollar, which is something the Government has no control over. It has nothing to do with effective fiscal policy from the Gillard Government. Probably the opposite, if anything.

From 2008 until 2011, the 'GFC' was actually the 'GFC apart from China, India, and Australia' crisis. China grew 10% in 2010, and Australia rode on the back of that.

Interest rate cuts are actually BAD news for the majority. Rubbish. You're an Alan Jones researcher?
and are a sign of a weakening economy. Finally a hit Trev. Yes it is, it's part of a big picture known as an economy.

You and Australia never had it so good as when LJH was in power. Pinko whingers cheering about numbers that indicate that the economy is in the toilet, everyone is worried about losing their job and are not spending money. Bankruptcies up, small business struggling, electricity and cost-of-living costs skyrocketing, but you are all clapping. Yeah, you lot are real clever, about as clever as your heroes, the Vulture and that fool, the Goose. Pack of weirdos.Paul Keating wrote:Sorry did the GFC happen or not?

And now that all Australia's eggs are currently in the Chinese basket, it's inevitably going to end in tears unless Australia has a government capable of using the Chinese money to invest in other areas of the economy to ensure a buffer when the iron ore demand inevitably grinds to a complete halt or the Chinese decide it's cheaper and more convenient to mine iron ore in places like Cambodia and Mongolia.

Unfortunately the last government squandered all that.

Aye, giving handouts to industries that are now doomed to fail like the local car industry, just to appear like they're "doing their bit for working Australians."
It's all very short-sighted.

Hard to argue with such logic.
Uh-oh, Frommie has binned it. For those who missed it, it was Albert Einstein saying something like "If you run around a tree at 300,000 km/s, there's a good chance you'll end up farking yourself. Or you can vote Labor to get the same result."

Australia could have negotiated a better deal with the Chinese before the contract was signed, rather than now having to try and claw things back a bit by introducing a mining tax. Even internationally this Government has a reputation of doing U-Turns once things have been made official. Rightly the mining companies are angry that once everything was apparently sorted, the Government then turned around and taxed them more money. And then you have Wayne Swan trying to start up 'class wars' by attacking the industry and its rich bosses that are keeping this Country going at every opportunity, while at the same time declaring Australia's economy "The envy of the developed World" and gladly accepting awards such as "World's best Treasurer" thanks to, yes,..........the mining boom. It's stunning hypocrisy.
I hate politicians like Wayne Swan- The kind of people who like to try and pretend they are hard working, middle class battlers but then drive around in their smart cars and drink their fine wines in their gaudy, substantial houses.

Pinko supporters akin to crazy Musi rioters
Robert Candelori, whose family, including brother Christian and father Ross, run Candelori's Restaurant in Smithfield, said their business had received "hundreds and hundreds and hundreds" of emails calling on it to drop its sponsorship of Jones's breakfast show in the wake of his comments that Julia Gillard's father had died of "shame". Mr Candelori pointed out the majority of emails were coming from people who lived interstate and did not listen to the show.
Some of them in the beginning were calling us 'scum', wishing we would die and wishing our business would go under, comparing Alan Jones to Jill Meagher's murderer."
---------------------------------------------------
Just like the fool Musis who rioted and bashed police but hadn't actually seen B-grade flick allegedly ridiculing Mohammad.
An indictment on all Labor supporters. Gloria was a dick and was caught out, but pinkos carrying on like this is farkwittism at its worst.
