Will the 2013-14 Ashes in Aus........
....have at least one day/night test? I've got a feeling there will be, considering this green light from the ICC Cricket Committee-
"Changes for Test matches
Day-night Tests
Participating countries can decide whether to play a day-night Test. The two boards will decide on the hours of play - six hours per day - and on the specifics of the ball that will be used."

I just don't know when they're going to bite the bullet and play in night vision goggles.
Re: Will the 2013-14 Ashes in Aus........
That won't work. Swanny and Sturat will boot polish the inside edges of the goggles to give KP black eyes, and he'll resign in a huff.

Graeme Swann tried his heart out in that series, he did all he could from 10,500 miles away
Re: Will the 2013-14 Ashes in Aus........
not kidding Danny...Monty tried his utmost in that series and enjoyed a bit of success...thoroughly liked and respected by Oz crowds

I thought he and Saj Mahmood were the subject of racist abuse?

Even if they had the ball, I doubt it - there is too much at stake unlike any other series.

Lauded? Like, Peter Siddle lauded? Poor bloke. No wonder he didn't get the nod last time. Poor bloke. Probably thinks of Aus as a penis camp.
Re: Will the 2013-14 Ashes in Aus........
perhaps... but am serious Danny...Monty was a crowd favourite here because of his efforts and enthusiasm despite his team getting a trouncing...his reputation was enhanced just as those of Gashly Filch and Jandy went backwards...
Monty's efforts provided Oz fans with a sharp distinction with those of Harmi and the Big Mah-Moo who gave little

Aye, he did well. If it wasn't for that Gilly knock it'd have been a lot better for him. Still, lets get Ashley Giles in there. He's the man.
Re: Will the 2013-14 Ashes in Aus........
have to agree with Horrie here - Monty was widely applauded in that summer. Australian fans will always respect someone who puts in an effort.
