Re: Trouble in Aus State Politics
Baird`s real reason for resigning
Mr Baird says the challenges besetting his government over the past few months paled in comparison to challenges in his personal life. Mr Baird says his family has been struck by a trio of health problems.
"That was much tougher," he said. "My father has gone through open heart surgery... My mother has just gone to 24-hour care... that's very tough to watch as a son."
Mr Baird says the he was in hospital last week, too, with his sister, Julia, who is facing a recurrence of the cancer fight she wrote about for the Herald.
"Those personal things obviously impact you," he said.

Re: Trouble in Aus State Politics
Pauline unveiled her candidates for the wozzie election today
An uninspiring looking bunch
one proudly declared he'd be standing in O'Connor ( A Federal seat) ...and when this error was pointed out he said "I'm from Armadale*" as his excuse...
* Armadale ...like Ipswich on steroids (and other illicit substance it can snort . smoke or shoot up)
The libs should lose ...but probably wont because the pinkos are woeful ...pauline's presence will only help the pinkos by confusing the red neck right vote

PMSL at Wozzie Tories.
The Libs are preference One Nation over the Nationals in some regions and now the Nationals are preferencing the Greens over the Liberals in some regions.

You could not make it up. Minister SeeNoDonors refused to rule out a similar preference deal at a federal level, which would wipe out the Country Party.

Mehcolm tells Barnett "no" about a GST floor (despite saying he'd do something about it last August)

Mal knows that he has 2 years for the Pinkos to stuff up at the state level so he can win a few seats at the Federal level.

With Mal's luck the iron ore price will go through the roof and they'll find the mother of all diamond pipes inside a gold mountain floating on a sea of oil in the Kimberly.

...and he'd be a significant shareholder.
While the wasp tories are pretty crazy - had a bit to do with their mad bureaucrats in 2015 - I cannot see them being rolled. Drone Notion will have balance of power in the upper house pushing WA even further to the right.

What's the problem with NSW politics? Does this idiot seriously think he can keep his ministry, or his seat or even his liberty. This is jail time surely.

Aye! We're used to them doing it. But we're also used to them falling on their swords. This much denial is outrageous.

Seems to be the general consensus. Bolts Hadley has been warning the Premiere to get rid of him for some time.
