For England, Finn for Broad should be the only change. Tell Ian Bell to stay at home.

Harbhajan shouldn't be playing. Umesh if fit or even Sharma, however dodgy the latter. Should realistically be no other change.

I doubt India will want a pitch like Mumbai. As Nasser said, India's best option would be to prepare an absolute flattie and bank on England's bowlers not being able to get 20 wickets, and the Indian batsman being able to out FTB England.

No chance of us of out FTBing England either, not with this lot.

England contrive to get themselves out on a deady. It's probably the worst sort of pitch we can face. So, yeah, I'd prepare a dead one and hope to win the toss again...

Of course, if India hadn't decided to deny England some quality spin bowling in the warm ups, they may well have discovered a young spinner who they could bring into the team for this test, but alas, they are now clueless as to who the next spinner in line is.

Don't be silly Trev. You know very well that all the young spinners get a lot of exposure in the IPL.

the problem isn't an extra spinner, we don't need to play 3. we need 2 good seamers

And that should be Zaheer and Yadav, no? Will Yadav be fit in time for Kolkata?

They may be, but they'll select the non England series Sivaramakrishnan again.

Yep, they're paving it over now.
Best choice for India.

Apparently Dhoni reckons he would take that exact pitch again. Dunno if he thought it was an aberration. Knowing England, it probably was. If either Cook or KP got out early, it could've been a different story.

What about Sreesanth, he would spice things up a bit...DJ_Smerk wrote:Is Munaf Patel available?

For England, Finn for Broad, and Bell for Samit is the most likely.

What about that bloke who can't play spin? No, I don't mean any one of them. That one who really can't play spin? Bonny Jairstow. No. Jonny Bairstow. That's it.
