Aus Federal Politics thread (IX)
Oooh, I'm hoping for higher inflation & higher interest rates. It'll put a lump in your throat but I'll be chuckling. You'll be in Highly Strung Town.
So quote and moan all you like.

Phurt, says the man who's job it is to cheat the tax system for personal gain. You don't give a flying rat's arse about the "weeeerker" and the "baaaatler".
Aus smashed in Ashes, Drags wooden spoon, Pinkos smashed to lose 30 seats in Sept. Chin up, old boy, it can only be up from there.

Phurt - I don't cheat at anything. The ATO sees everything I do. I am bringing tax planning to the masses rather than keep it in the hands of rich qunts. You can't get any pinker than that.

I'm sure the ATO sees you as a cheat. Tax planning? Don't you mean Tax minimisation? Sure, for the masses.JGK wrote:Phurt - I don't cheat at anything. The ATO sees everything I do. That would be in spite of the pinkos, not because of them.

Nothing in that article claims the pinkos have anything to do with the economy ....

JGK clutching the top of the mast of the fast sinking HMAS Pinko.
MrK's man-love for Ross Gittins is getting a little scary. He only has two bookmarked web pages. "Crikey" and "Shit-written-by-sexy-Ross-Gittins".

So you think it would be so much better under the Tories?
ANyway, that article as well as this one shows why the government are so useless:
http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/political-news/study-finds-widespread-ignorance-about-carbon-tax-20130324-2go2n.html
They simply cannot convince the public that they are doing a good job. The media and opposition (and general laziness of people who like to be told what to think) are big components but they are the government FFS, how can they be that crap at it.

I heard an interest theory that last week's malarkey was just a game Rudd was playing with no other motive than making Crean look like a fool.

You know the Pinkos are going bad when a Labor MP actually appears on 2GB. Crean was on this morning explaining that Chris Bowen royally farked him, telling him that he would bring all the promised numbers to Krudd. I could only listen for 5 minutes, because farkin Gloria kept interrupting him.
If it was Krudd's game, it worked well. And I can see this backstabbing in the media by the Krudd camp going on for the next 6 months.

Fark off it was Rudd's plan.
He is just rewriting history and contributing to the myth of his greatness.

Meanwhile, in Team Harmony
"Key cabinet members and supporters of Prime Minister Julia Gillard last night confirmed they begged Rudd loyalist Mr Albanese to stay in his job - even as colleagues who had also backed the former PM in last week's failed coup resigned en masse.
...
Fallout from the failed coup continued with senior MPs now rounding on members of the Gillard camp who have reportedly embarked on a new campaign to intimidate Mr Rudd and hound him out of parliament.
"So they want to lose the seat of Griffith too?" asked one MP. "We will be lucky to keep any seats in Queensland. If he pulled the pin we would have zero.
"They orchestrated a coup to remove him as leader in 2010 and now they want a coup to remove him from parliament. They need to pull their heads in." "
------------------------------------------
Rudd must not have many opportunities outside politics. I don't understand why he's staying, if he genuinely has no further aspirations for the top job.
And it confirms what qunts the Pinkos are. They'd prefer to roll Rudd and lose a seat than the alternative.

Or it shows that they don't have a "win for the sake of winning even if it farks the country" mentality that Abbott has.
The SMH has starting calling Rudd "Chicken Kev".

ROFL....at smh joke....in the aftermath of the last election Abbott shocked the independents by promising them virtually anything they wanted....he did not appear to care what it was - he only wanted power..
elsewhere in the thread there was a discussion about the MM's lineage to DLP that made a lot of sense

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (IX)
The full Chicken Kev article (with key extract):
The so-called NSW Disease, which has recently manifested not only in the Labor Party but also in the Coalition in Victoria and the Northern Territory, is symptomatic of a nihilistic ethos in our contemporary politics. It represents the ultimate separation of politics from program - and how politics is now treated as a game whose professional players play only to win, regardless of the consequences.
