Re: The EPL thread (II)
Btw N'Zogbia has to play he's been their best player by far.

In certain positions they've got ridiculous strength in depth - N'Zogbia is a fine player, but if they get Duff fit there are only a couple of better wide players in the premier league, both competing for the left flank.
Similarly the choice between Martins and Owen upfront.
Re: The EPL thread (II)
Deco would be brilliant for them, its up to see if KK can still persuade top-notch players to go there. Emre is a very fine little player himself, quite similar to Deco, I imagine he'll start a lot more under Keegan.
It was bizarre that Alladyce would select Geremi, Butt & Smith - 3 x ball winners and no-one with any vision to pass the thing once they've won it.

Re: The EPL thread (II)
Newcastle forever make the mistake of going for big name signings from other top clubs.
What they need is to gel a team together.
There's a reason those top clubs are letting those players go to Newcastle, they either aren't good enough or have seen their best days.

Anybody watching the Nigeria - Ivory coast match?
Good game, so many chances wasted by both teams, but Kalou has just scored a blinder.

Spuds 2-0 up in the Semifinal, creating plenty of chances to make it 3 and yet i'm still not convinced they won't do a 'spurs' and end up losing 3-2

Not costly at all, Arsenal losing the plot though, throwing the toys out of the pram.

It's only the fizzy pop cup though. Judging by the reaction you would think the Spurs just made the champions league final

Re: The EPL thread (II)
It's weird, I mean you hear talk about "We'll beat them this time" most Spurs/Goons games. But this time in particular there was loads more than ever of "We WILL beat them". I just believed it this time. Probs Propaganda.
