Explanation for the furburger...furriner wrote:Reading this thread makes me wonder if I even speak the same f*cking language as some of you guys. Probably half-understood one post. I don't even...
Daylight Saving ended in Aus last Sunday. Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland do not partake in Daylight Saving, so qmy was welcoming NSW, Vic, Tas and SA back to Australia after being in another time zone for the past 7 months.
Of course, we "southerners" (or "Mexicans" from south of the Qld border) see it differently. Basically Queensland is considered one hour (during DST) and 4 decades (all the time) behind us. qmy was posting from his horse and buggy via Morse Code at the time.
Queenslanders are know by southerners as "chippies" for the large chips they carry on their shoulders towards the southern States.
I hope this helps, Mr. Burger.

Re: Welcome back Mexicans...............
Furri...you should be thankful you do not...Mexicans are what Queenslanders call people south of the border...ie NSW, Vic and Tas...with all the hillbilly and banjo jokes about them you can guess Queenslanders are considered the equivalent of people from Alabama....their language is quaint too
