He is. Also overweight and a liability in the field

Careless from Rooty-Toot.
Now watch the 7 wickets fall.

I'm surprised Tsotsobe has an ODI bowling av of 24 on this form.
Off day?

He's been shit for at least six months. Totally lost any type of snap he had. In fact, he's very English.

AND he throws like one of those girls that needs so much protection.

Talking of typically English - this is not a typical England performance.
Where's the drama? Where's the collapse? Where's the drunken slump?
Maybe they got the slide in early, with the SAf 9th wicket partnership.

Seriously though, I hope this means Trott is getting his form back for bigger events later this year.

SO, who would the Poms rather face in the final.
Might seem obvious it's SL.
But the Lankans have been a particular bogey team for them for quite a long time, from memory. They tend to go to pieces (as only England can) against the likes of Malinga, Jaywardene (or almost anyone).

Just got home and seen the score. How on earth did we manage to win by 7 wickets? Ball tampering?

I touched on his attitude earlier. It started when he went to county cricket, Essex I think and was released from his contract early. He's changed franchise in SA 3 times in the past few seasons. The word is that he prefers hanging around in nightclubs with his gold chains on, than actually practicing.

Bringing something up on one of the few occasions he does his job to his fullest extent is pretty banal to say the least. Grow up.
Re: England v South Africa, 1st ICCCT Semi Final, The Oval, 19 June, 2013
Our "boring" brand of cricket does the job most of the time in English conditions, as long as we have our front line bowlers.
May even earn us a trophy, but will do sod all in terms of making us contenders for a World Cup in Aus and NZ.

Ian Bell's stint as opener this tournament. Runs @ 35, s/r 74 (the lowest in the side by miles).
When Pietersen comes back, surely Malteser Man has to be put out of our misery to accommodate him. Cook, we're stuck with. Trott's nailed on. Root's doing well and providing a bowling option. Ditto Bopara (feels like an out of body experience writing that).
The only two spots up for grabs are Morgan, who's struggling a bit but has won matches for England, or Bell, who is doing the usual flattering to deceive crap and has won no matches for anyone.

They never let you down. Unless you're South African.

Still, I suppose beating a Yarpie side without Steyn, Kallis and Smith is a bit like beating Barcelona without Messi, Xavi and Iniesta.

Well done England. Looked downright scarey with the ball until the 9th wicket stand. And obviously the batting did as required. All falling into place nicely for the Ashes.

I'd argue that to choke, you have to be considered raging favourites only to collapse spectacularly under pressure to a lesser side. South Africa were hardly raging favourites in this tournament. The truth is, they're not actually very good. Still, they should have done better than 175 all out with the bat.
So I guess England would prefer to be facing Sri Lanka in the final, seeing as the Lankans themselves are gaining a reputation for choking in finals.

Not that those guys have helped South Africa before in semi finals.
