Former Bendigo ALP MP Steve Gibbons on KRuddy (as told to crikey):
Rudd’s a piece of filth. I notice that some idiot leaked to The Age couple of weeks ago that they reckoned Rudd was responsible for saving 10 to 15 seats. I say ****** frogshit, Rudd was responsible for losing 19 seats. That’s the reality. Three years of destabilisation — and blatant destabilisation at that. And what pissed me off, the other day Laurie Oakes was interviewed on Neil Mitchell and he tried to pass that off as the norm. Peacock undermined Howard, Howard undermined Peacock, Hawke was undermined by Keating, all this sort of shit. But they all did that with one eye on the main game. And that was their party staying in power. This piece of crap couldn’t give a ****** about that.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XI)
About 12 months ago one of the pinkos asked why Abbott was getting such an easy run from the media
My thoughts were the media had Gillard lined up ...then they would do Rudd (again) ...and finally they would set to Abbott
Looks like I was right
It's strange how they are only finding out about all these travel claims now he is PM ....

Are Tonys trips any worse than Labor charging the taxpayers $200,000.00 to fly their MP's the Canberra to vote on a new leader?

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XI)
The point is your side claims that it does NOT waste tax payers money, your side claims it does not break promises, your side claims it does not have faceless men, your side claims it does not have infighting and your side claims it does not do corruption when in the first three weeks of government it has been highlighted that your side does do all that. Even the Murdoch press are starting to run these negative Coalition stories.Big Dog wrote:Are Tonys trips any worse than Labor charging the taxpayers $200,000.00 to fly their MP's the Canberra to vote on a new leader?

In the normal world if you did that once or twice you'd get a gentle talking to and told to pay it back. 4 times and you'd be sacked. 8 times and you'd be chargedJGK wrote:

Not included in that list is his expense claims for promoting his own book and his expense claims for volunteering at a charity. I would have thought that last one should be done for free.

aye...the guy is a serial grub...but where is the nooz in that...australia fully deserves this hypocritical mug....
personally I think krudd who did not need to cheesepare because wifey is a gazillionaire is far worse...while gillard is the lowest of the low who would say anything do anything to preserve power...people like the madmonk are such that everyone knows they are craven grasping corner cutters - but that is who they represent and that is now the national character

The Australian Electoral Commission has ordered a recount of the Senate votes in Western Australia, after an appeal by Greens Senator Scott Ludlam and the Australian Sports Party's Wayne Dropulich who were candidates in the federal election.

I dont know why they had to appeal
There was a 14 vote 'choke point'
The recount should have been automatic

Funny how the 'Tonys trips' brewhaha has suddenly gone quiet after one of his main accusers was also found to be dipping into the trough.
