Bathurst 1000 2013
Lordy I love this time of year. AFL Granny this Saturday (28 Sept), NRL Granny the Sunday of the following weekend, then the mighty Great Race the Sunday after that.
I'm having the week between the latter two off up the coast. Something to look forward to makes life just that little bit more tolerable*.
* This is the pathetic mantra I now follow given "All is right in the world when Australia is winning at cricket" no longer has any meaning.

Re: Bathurst 1000 2013
Ford is still a major competitor, h. Holden is leading the points at the moment. As MrK alludes, Mercedes and Nissan also have cars in the championship this year. They have been steadily improving through the V8 Supercar season and may score top 10 finishes on Sunday fortnight. Would be a shock if a Holden or a Ford didn't win the Great Race but.

Re: Bathurst 1000 2013
This is an exceptional finish to Bathurst.
After this I will switch right over to the Japanese GP and see if Weber can negotiate the first corner.

Great last lap. Hard to believe this is the first time since 1977 that the Ford factory team has won.
Re: Bathurst 1000 2013
What a fantastic last 20 laps!!! Ferkin Bright help up Lowndes and Tander otherwise it would've been a 4 car shoot out to the end.

Shame about Bright farking up would could have been the greatest finish ever.
Still, thrilling stuff. The bravery of those guys is unbelievable.
