To be fair, they both looked pretty close live.

But it's bloody typical, isn't it. England finally promote an aggressive player to number three, and he crabs along to 15 off 39 balls then gets out.
Sometimes I think they are TRYING to piss us off.

He was probably acting under instructions to build an innings.

If that catch of Clarke's was clean, then so was Buttler's off Warner in game one.

No argument, Trev. I called Buttler's as out at the time. Stokes was happy to take Pup's word (as was Warner in Melbourne) but no checking by the umps this time. The difference was that square leg ump was next to the catcher and gave a nod to the standing ump.

The worst thing about the Buttler 'catch' was that Warner was happy to walk off, but the umpires threw an unnecessary spanner into the works by telling him to hang around. Considering the controversy related to low catches and how the cameras can be deceptive, not to mention the desire to improve the spirit of the game among players, it was some of the worst umpiring you could see

Looks like they've forgotten to move the boundaries back after the Big Bash. They're in about 10 metres.

We know how this goes now- England will scratch their way to 230, then Aus will come out and blaze away, and reach the target two wickets down in the 40th over.

So, up to Morgan again to get it above 270.

If Richie was here, he'd say "under a special formula we use, England are on target to make 250".
Yes Richie, double the score at the 30 over mark.

Speaking of Richie, I think we may have seen the last of him. They found a crack in a vertebra as a result of his prang back in October. He'll be 84 next summer - maybe too old and silly to keep going.

Ooh, Washo not happy with Fatty Finch at not having a lunge at one close to him. I reckon Steve Smith might've caught that.

Nah, Channel Nine will try and milk every last drop out of him.

Finch doesn't exactly looks like he wants to be there today.
Didn't watch the early innings - how did Patto bowl? I see that he was expensive.

Finch is neither the fittest nor smartest tool in the shed. International version of Mark Cosgrove.
Patto looked rusty. A bit all over the shop with both line and length.
