OT: Favourite Current Television Programme?

Turns out 24 is still awesome despite it being formulaic.

Watched S01E01 of Fargo on Foxy this arvo. Looks quirky as fark. I like it!!!

I note BB's Bob Odenkirk is a cast member. Billy Bob rocks.

It's terrific, Fargo. Was a bit of a surprise to me, as I thought the film was vastly overrated.

Short series as well, so I imagine you'll blow through it in a week.

No way man. Not on a Monday. Well, not on this Monday. Drunk History is a reasonably amusing program, where comedians get drunk and tell a story from history and actors act to their words verbatim. Better than watching England get jizzed on by Bangladesh...

But not better than watching a drunk comedian retell the story of England getting jizzed on by Bangladesh.

Although I am not sure what they could add to make it funnier.

Is Star Trek worth bothering with in 2015?

I gather it was a great show at the time, but after the likes of Battlestar Galactica, will the original Star Trek stand up? TNG any good perhaps?

I never saw the appeal of any of them - or the recent movie "reboots".

My nerd rating may never fully recover from this admission.

True Detective S2 is three episodes in.

And boring as f*ck. Jesus. Throw in a joke or something. We get it, life is serious, everyone is serious, they have serious faces and serious issues and do serious business in a serious manner.

Not a great start.

Yeah I haven't even bothered with it this time after hearing the feedback.

Shame, first series was phenomenal (despite a shit ending).

Brave move to have a completely new cast but it doesn't seem to have paid off.

I can quite enjoying it. Confusing but hopefully will start pulling together.

Oh yeah, I'm sticking with it. But it lacks heart so far. Even in the slow moments of season one, Rust and Marty could bounce off each other.

None of the characters in S2 thus far even talk to each other. The whole show is presented in dull, droning monologues.

It's alright. It MUST be treated as a completely separate from the first series as it's supposed to be. It's certainly slow. It's got some freakishly pretentious bits as well. But it's bound to build up to a shitstorm, so you may as well waste a few hours 'getting to know' the 'delightful' characters of McAdams, Kitsch and Farrell. Vinny V you can get on board with reasonably early.

Feels like a cash-in series to me.

S1 was genuinely twisted and disturbing.

This is just superficial - and the dialogue. It's so hammy it deserves to be in a BLT.
