With Wakely, Newton, Crook and Willey, they form a decent nucleus. Apparently we're getting Levi as a non-overseas and Kleinveldt as our overseas, so we could have an OK side next year.
The SA Levi?
Yeah!
Meanwhile, Northants have already announced the signing of Adam Rossington and Josh Cobb and are confident that Richard Levi will be signed as a non-overseas player. They have also identified South African allrounder Rory Kleinveldt as their first choice overseas player, but it is understood they will not pursue an interest in released Yorkshire offspinner, Azeem Rafiq.
Fat f*ck, but he made an impact in the FC games he played
Could have had two members of my first class fired brigade in the one team

At least he's not a total qunt.
And FWIW he looked pretty awesome when he first came onto the scene. Until sides realised he hasn't got a clue against spin.

Sawn off, I bet, you cheating Aussie.
Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
Leics predictably complete back to back winless seasons, but even for them, losing by 400-odd runs to Direbyshire must be close to plumbing new depths.
If the Pants match their no-win record in the top division (which looks odds on) it will be the second time there has been a winless team in each division (Surrey and Gloucs in 2008).

Well, that was an anti-climax - stuffed by Essex inside three days. Still promoted though!

If you had said to me at the start of the season that we would have been promoted with a match to spare without Alan Richardson (retired) and Moeen missing with England for most of the season, I would have wondered what you had been drinking.
Dumb farks will say it was purely down to Saeed Ajmal, but we nearly always put enough runs on the board to enable him to have attacking fields -
due, in part, to the skipper's stonkingly good form in the first half of the season, and the seamers invariably took two or three wickets before he came on to bowl. Mitchell, by the way, would be my man of the season - he is a very impressive leader of men.
Recruiting Alex Gidman is a shrewd move, but we'll need another seamer and, possibly a spinner, if Ajmal can't amend his action in time for next season, always assuming that he wants to come back.

And so they did !
Now maybe if that qunt Fraser spent some more time in the job he's paid to do (ie., MD of Middlesex cricket),
and less as an "ECB inspector of talent" ... then perhaps the Sexies might do a tad better next season.
But yeah ... don't hold yer breath.

Probably gives you an insight as to why Leics are where they are now. Two winless seasons in a row, they should be taking a long look in the mirror and pondering their setup, structure and youth system, but their priority is signing an overseas player, then announcing how "thrilled" they are to do so.
Perhaps the ECB needs to step in and warn them they risk losing first class status unless they shape up.

Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
To be fair to Leics, in this story they appear to talk about conducting reviews-
"Over the next two weeks extensive reviews into the season will be conducted, led by board advisor Andrew Boyce who will be interim chief executive when Mike Siddall leaves at the end of September. The club have then invited members to attend a forum on October 15 at Grace Road having declined the opportunity to be part of a BBC Radio Leicester debate next week.
"We would like to complete two agreed reviews before we address the media," the statement said. "The club accepts that results over the last two seasons have been extremely disappointing and that Members feel that the situation needs to change. We know that these are difficult times but we are determined to have success in the future."

It's one thing when it's Notts picking off the best of their talent, quite another when it's Pants and Direbyshire.

Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
“I honestly believe we played good enough cricket to go up this year,” Grayson said. “I think man for man we’re a better side than Worcestershire but they had the Saeed Ajmal effect at the start of season and Daryl Mitchell has been an outstanding captain for them. But credit to them, they got the points on the board.”
This is a quote from Essex's coach in today's Torygraph. I can sort of see where Grayson is coming from because Essex ended up with 22 points more that Northants did last year yet they didn't get promoted - yet this is the Essex side who got well and truly stuffed at New Road earlier this season.
Do I feel sorry for Essex? Do I fark!

He hardly played for them, so I'm not sure if there was any sort of effect to be honest.

Jackson Bird has signed for Hamps for next season. I hope they get more games from him than Tassie have in the last year.
