rofl.... Chris Poodle (minister for nobbery) looks like he could be in trouble...lots of pressure for a Senate Inquiry...adverse findings would need to go to the Rogers...Poodle could be clipped and spend a period in doggy rehab camp....

It's Credlin and Nicolau.
I have little doubt that the Libs have not broken the law because of the massive loopholes in it but if they had any moral high ground about foreign company's legally avoiding tax in Australia they are very quickly losing it.

Ashby either lied on his affidavit (where he said he'd had no outside assistance or influence) or he lied to Liz Hayes. You can make up your mind which. Either way, zip will come of this.horace wrote:rofl.... I only made judgment on Ashby based on the facts presented. Lying on an Affidavit is a federal offence. Lying to Liz Hayes is just good for headlines. You decide.

Happily I am not a Boral shareholder...if I were I would be asking for the Board to resign and the CEO to be sacked..
S, I think the poodle is on his way...more to come...also expect pressure to mount for an inquiry into the Woodside/spying/ Downer dealings

That said, Pyne would have be pretty confident that there is no evidence (secret or otherwise) that would refute this blanket denial:
Mr Pyne said in a statement: “All these matters have been aired over and over again for the last three years.
“I had no specific knowledge of the allegations made by Mr Ashby and the first I knew that he was suing Mr Slipper was when I read it in the newspapers.

Talking about holes in things. I'd hardly call that a blanket denial.
On the PW-W thing. I knew the guy when he was in the army and later when he was a mining exec. Apart from the bunfight over his father-in-law's winery he seems an unlikely fit for the greens. Though like a lot of them there was a leftie leaning. Though not that far left that the ALP's right wing would seem more natural.

Yes I guess there is room for weaseling out (and Pyne is weasel in chief) but you'd think any evidence that he had dealings with Ashby early in the process would be damaging.

Abbott's claiming sub judice in most of his comments and referring to previous statements. I don't think there's too much in this (hopes for huge reverse woof).

Looks like Pyne has now spoken to the spin doctors and is coming "clean".

I see Juliar gets her opportunity to lie under oath at the Union Royal Commission tomorrow. Actually, it'll probably just be one big "I don't recall".
