Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
As far as both sides of politics are concerned the Shorten "affair" is done and dusted. The media seem to think differently.

The Oz is pissed off because it was going to warehouse the story until just before the next election.
As it is there will inevitably be an interview with the complainant before the next election where she tells "her side of the story". It will probably have a byline like "Shorten's accuser: what the police didn't investigate".

Aye, I thought to myself "I bet some media outlets are pissed off that Shortarse has killed this story stone dead".

doubt the story will go away....am certain some kind person may stump up the cash at some time for the woman to launch (if she wishes) a civil action against Shorten

Last week she as good as said it will f**k them for decades. Guess she'll have to go back to bashing unions. Wouldn't be a Saturday without Gracie, and Henderson refighting wars he'd already"won" with the "left".

Back to Bill not-Clinton: The fact that the story exists IS the story now.
You can bet Twatter/Faceache will be full of 'expert commentary' and 'well known fact' and every so often a mainstream outlet (such as the Oz) will report, from a nose-bleeding height of moral ground, what those dreadful T/F yokels are saying, which will cause Alan J or somebody to give their usual lecture about 'mock at your peril, that is what Real Australia thinks'. All as set up as anything ever seen on WWF.
Tony needn't utter a word in response, in fact he's stoopid if he does. Bill hasn't even that option.

I don't think AJ would do that given his own past indiscretions.

Past indiscretions last stopped Alan Jones, when? Before or after the Napoleonic Wars?

I see GDP apologised to the Chinese people for his Q&A rant. Tony Jones should've joined him.

meanwhile looks like LBJ has had a moment of insight and has hired a satirist - to write his speeches, eulogies for the MMs political funeral, Bronny B's forthcoming wedding to Flaming Bails own RD

If Clive P is 'the Gross Domestic Product', is Bronnie the Brontosaurus 'the Unacceptable Face of Conservative Politics'?
