Watson's highest average is as an opener.

I think it will be:
Rogers
Warner
Marsh
Smith
Burns
Watson
Haddin
Johnson
Harris
Hazlewood
Lyon
Starc 12th
This was a harsh call on Cowan by the selectors, but I guess he's still in the frame for The Ashes if Burns doesn't kick on.

I heard that too. He's going to have to make another 3-4 centuries this Shield season to be 'irresistible' and get on that tour.

Well there's room for another batsman in an Ashes squad if they take these 12 plus Marsh as a given.

Aye, but I think Lehmann has set a higher bar for Cowan. I think Carters is likely if he maintains his current progress; and he does play for NSW after all!

Cowan's cards might already be marked although he could be a good foil for the likes of Warner if Rogers somehow is considered not up to the mark for the Ashes.

According to the nooz tonight, Boof has put Haddit on notice. Sounds like if he doesnt perform in the next test he's gone.

I don't see it. He would have to get a hometown farewell Test.

It's not like Haddin is a great player though. He wouldn't really warrant a farewell test.
