Well, it was missing off, and leg... not out twice over! My first instinct was "that's swinging down leg by a mile" I have to admit, but then again I'm not a cricketer or an umpire...
All down to Ballance and Root once again. WI could win this by lunch tomorrow...

And... no nightwatchman? When we typically use them at 400-3?

The Burnley Lara must be somewhat frustrated at not being called upon here!
No idea what the tactics should be from here, perhaps just get someone to have a slog and try and set them something close to 200?

Crikey, it's carnage in Barbados!!! 18 wickets - WTF???
Well done to Jimmeh on his 6. Looking forward to seeing the highlights. Got home late last night after a night out and caught the quick end to the England innings. Didn't expect another 15 to go down while I slept.

Not as frustrated as he must be at the cream of English batting, beams, after ripping out the top order for bugger all - then cleaning out the tail in short order. It's not that far fetched to see him outscoring Cook, Trott, Bell, Root and Ali combined ...... and still be on the losing side.
No idea what the tactics should be........
........ neither did any of the fcukwits we call batsmen by the look of things.
I've just couriered a stone of home grown rhubarb to Geoffrey, begging him to dig up his mum (and grandma, come to that.)

The possible upside of this latest Gran' Collapso:
Any cruising sense of satisfaction in deckchairs the management, captain or whoever else might have slipped into from what seemed to be heading towards a result of a 2-0 away series win (errr, don't emphasise against what opposition) ... will now not only be plainly misplaced anyone those outside the goldfish bowl, but should be clearly ludicrous to all: even those in the bubble.
So, time for a serious heads-down in planning, strategies, and co-ordination of best solutions. Including players, their skills and roles.
In normal circumstances, that would be a big potential gain.

Fark I though this was a two test series and did not even know this was on.
18 wickets in a day? FMD.

Jimmeh was very impressive. I loved his late inswinger to Marlon that made him look like a complete dick shouldering arms.

Jimmy was awesome. Quite what he thought of the batting that followed is, I suspect, unprintable.

Catastrophic batting. It was a manual of how not to bat. We won't get to 70. WI will get there with 4 down.
Re: West Indies v England, 3rd Test, Bridgetown, 1-5 May, 2015
Windies haven't exactly covered themselves in glory with the bat either. All's not lost.

We're f*cked for the Ashes either way. Australia have a much better team and we are a bunch of pussies.
We have less chance than we did in 2001.

Re: West Indies v England, 3rd Test, Bridgetown, 1-5 May, 2015
Well, we certainly shouldn't be building this Aussie team up as being in the class of the 2001 vintage, they're nowhere near. That team had perhaps five all-time greats at the peak of their powers. Our fragile top order, negative approach and complete reliance on Anderson with the ball means England probably have little chance, but give the opposition too much respect and it will be 5-0 before a ball has been bowled.vilkrang wrote:We're f*cked for the Ashes either way. They aren't anywhere near the 2001 Australian team but that didn't stop them dicking us 5-0 even more emphatically than in 2006-7.beamer wrote:Well, we certainly shouldn't be building this Aussie team up as being in the class of the 2001 vintage, they're nowhere near. Exactly, that was the worst performance ever seen from an England cricket team. Perhaps any sport. Every chance of a repeat on this evidence, but if we're scared of them it will only increase the chances. Need to stand toe-to-toe and, if necessary, out-qunt them. And preferably bring something new to the table without too many battle-scarred players from last time.

Not saying I don't agree with you, but there isn't a great deal I can personally do about it.

So 62/6 from 39/5 - I suppose this must count as a recovery
