Yes! Which is why I'd like to work from home - I'm sitting there, thinking of some sort of complex, business critical shit, then she goes and bends over her mate's desk - next thing I don't even know what the f*ck I was thinking about. I'm not equipped to deal with such situations.

I would have said the problem is that you are equipped.

Well, technically I am - but when one is 'married', one may as well be a eunuch. Because, naturally, she'd be all over me if I'd let her.

I'd have thought it'd be more the other way round?

Well, a eunuch to the outside world. To the inside world, I'm a sperm machine, having to make myself available at any given ovulation moment. Cool most of the time... not when you've done 9 hours at work, come home, exercised, cooked dinner, then gone out for a 6 hour bar shift, then got steamed until 3am, THEN have to go for gold.

Ben Stokes has the sh1ts, so he might miss the second test.

It's set up for an Ian Ronnie special. The stars have aligned.

No no - YOU'd have been all over HER ...... as in ....
Oh anyway, commiserations again. The worst in such stressed circs is whenever you hear the word "showtime!"

No change for England - must have stuck a cork up Stokes' arse then.

Good start by England. Now to get past YK and Misbah.

When I watched this morning, Broad looks like he's not even trying - lofting it down at 80, in shit areas. Whateva
Re: Pakistan v England, 2nd Test, Dubai, 22-26 October, 2015
Misbah moves from 87 to 101 in what should be the last over of the day.

Missed it. 3 of the 4 wickets seem to have gone down earlyish.
So, a mighty Pakistan comeback prevailing against outstanding bowling and fielding (and tactics)?
Or did England - not for the first time - gradually fall away?

From what I saw, Wood bowled with a bit of bustle, same with Stokes, but we phoned it in quite a bit. Looked disinterested. Standard England on a deady. Meh

Have to say I saw it slightly differently to you chief.
Think Jimmy and Broad decided pretty early on that it was a pitch for guile rather than speed (or at least the mediocre speed those two are capable of getting it down at). Lots of cutters and slightly off-speed deliveries. Broad's first spell was pretty ordinary - but his subsequent ones were much more effective with a mix of slowies, attempts at reverse and the odd bouncer (one of which wasn't far off accounting for Misbah). Jimmy also bowled with brains throughout.
Wood was certainly full of bustle and he got the batsmen hopping around and Stokes bowled tighter than I've seen him manage before.
Rashid was very variable. A couple of good early overs followed by one of total filth then a lot of good balls interspersed with garbage.
The good thing is we've found an upside for Bairstow's inability to get out of the way of a ball hurtling at him. What is a weakness when at the crease is a decided advantage at short leg.

I didn't see it all so I'll go with your summation. Either way, I reckon we'll have to get them out pretty quickly. The pitch will apparently deteriorate more quickly than in the last Test
Re: Pakistan v England, 2nd Test, Dubai, 22-26 October, 2015
Cracking start to Day 2 for Engulund. Sturat set Misbah up with 4 straight bouncers to start the day, then fired in a full one to snare him lbw. Noice.

Well golly, that was a rollicking good effort: last 6 wickets for less than 100 in that session. Jolly good show, chaps!
