Only the WACA? Brisbane was a road as well. Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney were all roads last season.
In summary- ALL Aus pitches are flat. Probably the flattest in the World these days in that they offer nothing much for either pace OR spin.
I think the Kookaburra ball is partly to blame as well. It's quickly becoming apparent that it's quality has dropped in recent times, and it's time for CA to end their contract with Kookaburra. It's been changed THREE times already in NZ's innings FFS. In NZ last season they had similar problems with it.
MYSTIFIED BY GABBA. the g and scg are ok.kookaburra needs its bum kicked. The duke is no great shakes either

NZ have an 8% chance of a draw. But they'll have to bat a lot more resiliently than they have, Kane apart.

Extremely disappointed in the pitch
The talk all week was it was an old style waca pitch and then they produce a ODI strip ...(Alderman in a pre-match inspection called it that)
The advertising to sell tickets is woeful (Dont be a Daryl...WTF? FFS ) and once you get there hey have no shade unless you max your credit and then the food and drink prices are way over the top

I want the pitch to crack like a vintage 1995 pitch, but nope it will hold so the tv coverage extends to Day 5

Does anyone consider Hendrix is worth his spot?

FFS, who is Hendrix? Hazlewood?
I think he was very lucky to be picked ahead of the equally UNLUCKY Siddle for Brisbane.

With a terrible pitch and sight screens breaking down every session, The WACA could hardly have done more to seal its fate as a test venue.

Here at the WACA with my young son. It is quite a warm day but we are catching a breeze. Kane brought up his ton as sòon as we got here. Certainly seems as though Taylor is having some luck in terma of getting away with bad shots.

Johnson bowling like a man contemplating retirement. Which he apparently has been.

He has been ordinary for the past 18 months. Definitely a light of former years. This should be his final game.

Both he & Hazlewood should be replaced for the next test. They won't of course. Our selectors can't be relied upon to do the obvious.

Those who predicted a draw have got it right. What a rubbish wicket for Perth. At least the pink ball game in Adelaide might produce some action.

Klinger was my pick. His age might count against him...not that that should matter.
Re: Australia v New Zealand, 2nd Test, Perth, 13-17 November, 2015
Bancroft is an opener. Will Aus want to pick a young guy for his test debut out of his usual position? Warner or Burns could break a thumb, and suddenly Bancroft is being shunted around the order early in his career. If he's an opener, pick him as an opener, and get an experienced guy like Cowan (who has both opened and also batted at three for Aus, and is in pretty good form) in as a stop-gap until Khawaja returns immediately after he's recovered (which he's earnt the right to do)
