NCNs stocks seem to improve by not playing.
Fink is the new Berley. At least they didn't make Clotto captain.
Smart move to pick a keeper.

Re: Aus T20 wc squad.
Haha, their obsession with Coulter-Nile over players who have actually PLAYED a decent amount of cricket these last four months, is hilarious, and ridiculous.
They selected him for a test squad when he hadn't played first class cricket for about a year and surprise surprise he was found to be unfit. Now they pick him for a World T20 squad after he played one Big Bash game this season.
Has Rod Marsh genuinely lost the plot? He should resign if Coulter-Nile breaks down again, or if he has a bad tournament.

Am still laughing about NCN.
The two -chairs calls - were surely Agar and the uct.
Imagine what the horse trading between the Chair sand Kjnr would be like.

Cameron Boyce unlucky to miss out, but my instinct is that Zampa will turn out to be the better bowler.

Agree with those above. Qunt Denile's selection is perplexing.

The great enigma that is Shaun Marsh- when he's in the side people want him out, and when he's out of the side people want him in.

He has always been an excellent T20 player and a good player of spin.

Re: Aus T20 wc squad.
The selection of Andrew Tye and Adam Zampa as 'one of the best 15' in the land at this format of the game tells you all you need to know about this format of the game. Bowlers don't matter a toss. We are getting closer and closer to picking 15 batsmen, some of whom can lob down a few variations. The only specialist bowlers in the squad are Hazlewood and Tye; they must have been selected in error. The other bowlers are all all-rounders ...

Alternatively, pick bowlers who can bat (like Cutting). But yes, leggies and genuine quicks aside, there is little point in picking anyone just for their bowling.

Re: Aus T20 wc squad.
The good news for cricket is that if genuine quicks and leggies are what's required to succeed as a bowler in T20, the more kids there will be trying to either bowl as fast as they can, or spin the ball as hard as they can.

He busted his shoulder fielding
They want a fast bowler who can get early breakthroughs
Lee and Johnson have retired
starc is injured
tait failed
Richardson Boland Paris failed
Hilf Cot Cutting etc ...tried and failed
that leaves NCN ....
we were shit in the t20 series vs India so we dont have much to lose by trying him
(he went to a good school too)

Re: Aus T20 wc squad.
Agar ...they get mesmerised by his semi successful batting ... and forget they are picking him for his bowling
Shaun Marsh ...should be in the squad... probably at the expense of his brother...they only have 4 specialist batsmen in the squad
