Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
No plebiscite AND no free vote in parliament? Turnbull is going to get hammered in the polls. Nauru is a ticking time bomb as well.

Well - the 'no plebiscite' bit is hardly his fault.
Still, you should never ask a question that you don't want an answer to. David Cameron made this mistake.

Yep Cameron was locked into it by his colleagues...Truffles' colleagues have done the same. Has anyone done the numbers in the Lib caucus post election on the various factions, ie lunar right/aged Hitler youth (Bernardi, Erica Betz, MM), delcon right (Brandis, ScumMo, Dutton), centre right (truffles, Pyne etc)?

Yeah. A bit awkward on the day that he does a big piece in Fairfax about how corrupt banks are.

You'd think maybe some Libs might catch cold or something the day before the vote?

Forget that image skulls. Watched his presser yesterday and all I could think was he looked like a farking hand puppet. This was reinforced by the cameras only showing him from the chest up in that farking awful, straight out of the Monty Python props dept, neck tie. He dresses like a pimply suck up kid going to his first job interview at a particularly second rate firm of accountants. Just needs the hat for the seventies, can only field mid-week at Warwick Farm, bookie look.

Aye q. I wonder how long it will be before Shortarse realises that his blind support for the dill is doing himself harm.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
Mr Bean does Shortarse a favour
"The embattled Labor senator Sam Dastyari has stepped down from the frontbench amid questions about donations from a wealthy Chinese businessman.
Speaking in Sydney, he said he had spoken to Labor leader Bill Shorten and agreed that the issue had become a distraction that was damaging the party.
In asking for and accepting a payment of $1670.82 from a businessman Minshen Zhu, Dastyari said “I fell short of the duty of owe to the people I’m so proud to represent”. Dastyari has since repaid the amount.
Dastyari will step down from his position as manager of opposition business in the senate. He offered Shorten his resignation on Wednesday afternoon."

Piss off, ya slimy qunt.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
When is someone gonna tell Shortarse that his qunt of a party was not elected to govern the country??!! So he's happy to have same sex marriage but doesn't want the people to have a say, FFS?? And his justification is "the wasteful cost" and yet he is blocking all the cost saving measures proposed by the Govt. What a communist qunt he is.
What.a.prick.
