I reckon Vague deserves some latitude. It wasn't that long ago he was averaging 100 in Tests. Keep him in and replace Puddle with Ferguson.

Vague fails against good opposition.
Still he is a genuine batsman as Sniffy2 puts it. Sniffy says they may go with 6 "genuine" batsmen. Also looks like Lyon will miss ostensibly because of the pitch.

Radar showing persistent rain to the east of Hobart. Bellerive is clear ATM but forecast is not great.

Dampness is in the air, but there is no actual precipitation. I am heading over in an hour or so.

Today is the sort of day (overcast, greentop) where you expect your not-going-very-well team to lose the toss and be inserted.

Yep. We'll be sent in. Be 8 down for about 80 before the rain comes.

Faf wins toss and opts to bowl.
Sadly for Oz snorkel was not selected but then Lyon was.

Predictable abysmal shot by the Slogger. You're VC, FFS, show some commonsense for once in your life.

And now Monty is gone. No referral. 47 will be a good score.

The DRS replay might be interesting on the Burns dismissal.

DRS says just clipping leg, so a wise non-review from Monty.
