No more Tests (after T3 Bannies v SAffers) until mid-November.

Aye. This is a terrible year for Test cricket.

It shows in the wickets for the year stats.

Because bowlers are lucky to play 10 Tests a year these days, you don't get near-100 wicket years for bowlers any more.

I blame the Bannies.

There’s only been eight instances of 75 or more wickets in a calendar year, and three of them were Chuck in 10, 11 and 12 matches respectively (he was a one-off, in more ways than one...)

Plenty of 50+ hauls in the past decade, though only Cummins achieved it in 2019.

It is not just the Bannies Skullwag. The nobs running CA and the ECB are equally culpable.

Above I said we had 2 home Test v Bangers. ICC program shows 2 Tests in Feb, but apparently* these are away Tests in June followed by some circus cricket.

Yes, even though the T20 World Cup isn't until mid-October. Still, we have to put up with a shitload of lead-up one day stuff.

It's gonna be a long wait for some quality cricket next summer.

As far as I can tell, the only Tests in March are 2 in Sri Lanka v England - the first starting on March 19.

And I can't see any in April.

3 sleepy months ahead for FB.

After the tests against S/L, we don't play a test until June.

We all know that festering IPL takes up all of April and May.

It's not Test Cricket but I'm getting a little sick of the scores on the Cricwaves widget. They are from weeks ago.

Yeah they could at least show the results from the only show in town.......competitive computer gaming.
