It looks more likely to be next English season as india will be over here for a white ball series.

Will it be part of the series and/or WTC though? A one-off replenishes the ECB and Lancashire’s cash reserves, but means little in a purely cricketing sense. Particularly if played by India’s white-ball side rather than their full first choice Test XI.

In 2025/6 Aust play 13 Tests in 6 months! Would be a good time to be in form!

They’ll probably have shelved it all for the Fijian Five5 Franchise League by then.

No Test cricket scheduled until 30th November as far as I can tell.
