Re: Upcoming Test Cricket
Foxy had THAT Test on just now. The Jan 2008 Test v India at the SCG.
22,000 posts (most ever) that month as Kumble lit up the place with his "only one team was playing cricket out there" sour grapes comment after Michael Clark took 3-1 took pinch one that looked like getting way.
I recall Peter Roebuck weakly taking the Indians' side (after Kumble threatened to fly home unless Steve Bucknor was binned) and having to shut down his email such was the abuse he was receiving. And it was the week I lost all respect for the BCCI sycophant Harsha Bhogle.

Re: Upcoming Test Cricket
It was the series (Monkeygate, Jumbogate) that I lost any respect for Indian cricket. They went from 3rd favourite to my most disliked ... and they've stayed there, although I struggle slightly to know who to barrack for when it comes to South Africa v India. South Africa gets the pity vote at present.

I concur re: respect for the Bannie side. With due respect to trike and furry, India are my most despised side.

Re: Upcoming Test Cricket
Borat has been on the charm offensive for a couple of years now. Anyway that series was a contest between qunts and thunderqunts. I'm still not sure which is which rightfully but yes the series moved Oz off the top of my list of reviled teams.

Re: Upcoming Test Cricket
While there has to be serious doubt about it going ahead, the next scheduled Test cricket is 3 Test series between England and the West Indies in England starting 4 June.
Also starting shortly after was supposed to be Bangladesh v Australia in Bangladesh beginning 11 June, but I thought this had already been postponed/binned.

Meanwhile, Aust has gone to top of the Test rankings. All rather meaningless at the moment. Top of the T20 rankings as well.
Re: Upcoming Test Cricket
No1 test team hey. Nice to know kicking the shit out of a "b" side and one ravaged by injuries can still count.

Good call, Nath.
And coach Langer agrees. He said in an interview after the rankings came out basically "Phurt. Means nothing until we beat India in India."

Won't be any cricket until 2033.
Not even on the legendary village green.
Go watch the Classic Matches Replayed shows. Maybe you'll eventually find one you don't know exactly how it went. ...

If it happens ... I'm looking seriously at Gabba Days 1 and 2 in a box, and the MCG is looking good this year.
