Got the pink gear on Skulls ?
Re: Australia v England, 5th Test, Sydney, 4-8 January, 2018
Seriously, what is the point of weather forecasts. All the ones I’ve looked at online say “0% chance” of rain for Sydney, yet I’m right here in Sydney and you know what? It’s f*cking raining.....

Bleak city.
Disappointingly the pitch isn't that green at all. Is there any danger that an Aussie curator will some time in the future leave grass on their strip?
By the middle of the test this will be a typical Sydney road. Hard to see Smith not tonning up.
Mark is certainly not Stonewalling here.
But he fails to go on, yet again.

24/7/365... Hey I voted for Skully, Mr K, Nudge and all the other Spivs....whatever gets one through a Tinsel Town night.
Personally I avoid the place like the plague. Seems that all the ex Mrs Hs I don't get on with live there. Even worse there is always chance of running into Kjnr or Schoolgirl (when not driving a. Mack Truck).

Shocked they have not given the Hollow Man a bowl yet...
Looks a useless pitch. Great toss to win.

Aussies have been pitch fixing for decades.

So pretty good odds that Cook will have played a five test series and only crossed 50 once...
Be very interesting to see how Crane does.
Was there ever much buzz around Scott Borthwick getting another bash at the top level? He failed to disgrace himself in his one Ashes test four years ago.

The missed run out and dropped catch have cost Oz a commanding position.

Hot arvo in the O'Reilly. Poor last session by Aus with missed run out & dropped catch.

Handy late comeback with the new ball may have deflated England a tad.

That’s exactly why you need a nightwatchman. Absolutely idiotic from England. With a 90s-style tail we’ve needlessly sacrificed the last batsman of note.

Shocking end to the day by England. Poor shot from Root after lucky to survive the previous delivery and then Bairstow finds himself out there and then out. The commentators were praising his decision to eschew the nightwatchman who looked like he was going to be Crane.

Re: Australia v England, 5th Test, Sydney, 4-8 January, 2018
So Australia pinches the day in the last 10 balls after England had built steadily all day ... I think Malan and Root scored far too slowly against Lyon and the seamers when the ball was doing absolutely nothing. Lyon took no wickets but for me his tight overs - or England allowing him to bowl those tight overs, if you prefer - that's what kept Australia in the game until the late strikes.
And now Ali has to come out and face Starc and Hazlewood first up tomorrow ...
