You could probably hear me in the Bradman Stand yelling “bowl at the farking stumps you qunts”.
Are you allowed to use that type of language?
Not really. No.

Australia meandering along. It's a bit reminiscent of England's innings yesterday, not carrying the game forward much at all.
Anything less than 450 here is a failure. Currently that looks a long way off.

I like the look of Crane. While he seems to have some spin, drift and loop, most importantly he looks like he has control. I hope he's for the long term, there's plenty room for more leggies in the game.

He needs to get rid of the false starts ... what's going on there?

I yelled out twice. "Bloody pitch it up, you dickheads!!!" & "These bowling tactics are ridiculous, you Arseclowns!!"
My little bro was quite embarrassed.

Aus's day but it was far from perfect.
The appalling catching and stoopid bowling tactics let England get 50 more than they should have. Koo was ordinary. Elmer was off his game.
Then MrsR played all around a straight one from Sturat and The Bogan threw another ton away (he hadn't played a false shot up until his dismissal).
On the upside, 2nd was very good with the ball (except for the enforced bumper barrage on Broad), Ooze looked his classy languid best this arvo, and Tweek looks impassable.
As good as going to the cricket is, it's hard work in the hot sun (O'Reilly cancer stand), so I'll never be convinced there is a better way to watch the cricket than from my armchair in air-conditioned comfort at home.

Good knocks from gcspoc and SS. Great to see Uber get a score.
The captain needs another good score for the team. Agree with the comments about the ludicrous bumper barrage.

With tomorrow's hot weather, it will take some effort for the English to bowl us out. Smith looks set for yet another ton. Kim Hughes must look on and wish he was born in a different era.

Yeah, I’ve always thought an aborted run-up should be a noey.lardbucket wrote:He needs to get rid of the false starts ... what's going on there?
Sounds like a reasonable start from Frasier though, certainly no Nancy Kerrigan.

Stating the Captain Obvious, but England really need to remove one or both of the current Aus batsmen, or they may be in for a long hot day.

Would Smith be the first since his South African namesake to score two doubles in a series v England, if he does it here?

Seasick owes the team big time for his poor captaincy.
A 120+ will do it.
Really hope Uber K delivers a big ton. Of all the Oz bats he is the most fun to watch.
These two need to put on at least a another 100. 450+ is standard issue on this pitch. We all know there is sfa to follow.
Am hoping ima, 2nd and Koo contribute to ensure a decent score.

Is he another BABSB WACSY, as per Drunky?
To answer my own earlier question, the only players to score two doubles in a series v England are Bradman (three times, including a triple double!), Richards, Greenidge and Graeme Smith.

Well done Ooze on this long overdue ton in a long overdue long innings of application.

As a Spiv I'm obviously a Smithy fan, but his captaincy yesterday morning disappointed me. The bumper barrage on Broad was ham-fisted and lacked any genuine strategy. On the radio they were saying McGrath would never have bowled such tosh and would've quickly sorted out Broad.

"never" is bullshit
pigeon was as capable of losing the plot as any fast bowler ...just did it less often

Perceptive comment by Swanny: "England need a wicket".
And they are paying him for this shoite.
