India now 3-39 as the Ostrich rmoves Pujara.
It's gonna take a masterclass from E-Coli to get India home from here.

If Kohli is there at the end, the Indians will proclaim him to be better than SS.
He is looking pretty good atm.
Edit function again, Kohli falls. India now have to dig that little bit deeper to get over the line.

Let's edit again, Rohit off.
So basically now India has to make SA's second innings score to win. This match has more vicissitudes than the whole of the Ashes series.

Oui, lightning rarely strikes twice in the same place.
Can't believe how India is collapsing here. Conditions are definitely easier than earlier in the day.

Fourteen wickets down so far today. That is almost a whole MCG test.
And Rabada gets Saha on the stroke of tea.
This is a reminder of a day at Newlands when we toured in 2011.
Taipan must be feeling quite relieved atm as surely India can't pull it off from here.
No excuse for the batting though. The bowling is good but they have been found a bit wanting.
So is Rohit the epitome of the HTB? - 85 at home, 25 away!

This pair has brought the asking total to under one hundred.
Could there be another twist?

Red wrote:Evidently Faf has asked for slow pitches. He knows our attack is the best in the world and probably understands the renowned brittleness of his batting.
Am pretty confident that we will have our customary victory over there.
Huh? Their pace attack is comfortably at least the equal of ours whereas we have the edge in spinning. Batting probably evens itself out as well. They should be asking for pitches like Hobart.

Meanwhile, the Bannies now need less than 100 with 3 wickets left. Seems long way in a low scoring match but as the first innings showed, you can score runs quickly against attacking fields.
Is a tie on the cards?

If this pair stays together India can do it. The pitch has flattened out considerably. Vernon no longer moving it like crazy.

Philander gets his fourth after de Kock stands up in the big moment.
Swung back in the favour of the hosts.

Well things change quickly in this match.
Anyway I'm on holidays so someone needed to provide some suspense and drama.
Oh well India made more than SA in their second innings, but to be fair they had the less feral conditions in both innings.
Philander for MOTM.
Career best figures for Philander 6/42.
The attack stood up well sans Steyn.
