"With what's happened recently we are reviewing how we're actually playing the game and the type of player that's required in the one-day format," said Hohns

Our only performing batsman (Finch) is out injured & replaced by....you guessed it...No Show. Actually, being a dead rubber game, he will probably go ok.

Re: Australia v England, 5xODIs, 14-28 January, 2018
Bairstow gone. Eng 3/4. All too little too late of course.
Re: Australia v England, 5xODIs, 14-28 January, 2018
Root goes for a duck. Eng 4/6. Looks like England have mentally gone home after securing the series.
Re: Australia v England, 5xODIs, 14-28 January, 2018
Butler gone for a duck. This is getting ridiculous.

Smiths field placings & bowler rotation is helping England get back into the game.

Y'see this is why England won't win the world cup. No matter how good they look in some matches, a batting performance like this is always just around the corner and they don't have the bowling fire power to have any hope when it does happen.

And they're still going to win.
Is it time to pull stumps on the Adam Zampa experiment?

Wouldn't go that far, but agree regarding Zampa. He is either sleeping with the right people or is in possession of very incriminating pics of someone in high places.

How many times have we seen this in recent times where the selectors made a mistake & then refused to acknowledge it.
