Re: Rugby League 2018
Must be the first time the storm haven't been favourites for quite a while.

Ridiculous. The Dragons bubble has to burst at some stage and the Storm are in red hot form themselves.

On paper it should be a cracker but I wouldn't have put 40k on the Drags at 1.80.

Re: Rugby League 2018
Everything is in the Drags favour (Storm without some key forwards, Drags home game, Drags injury free) which is typically when the Drags fall over.

Re: Rugby League 2018
Mitchell Moses misses a conversion on the bell that would have tied the game up at 22 all. Remarkable, considering the Eels trailled the Sharks 22 - 4 with 6 minutes to go but they scored 3 tries in that final 6 minutes.

Damn. I turned that match off to watch the Tahs and when they turned out to be utterly shithouse, the A League final. Should have stayed with the great game.

So my losses this weekend are Swans, Tahs, Man U and I was going to the Jets in the A League final.
The Dragons are no chance.

Re: Rugby League 2018
I see the maggots kept their names in the headlines yet again.
Hilarious no-try ruling in the Drags-Storm game. Addo-Carr scored after a brilliant pass by Slater only for the Storm to be called back for a play-the-ball infringement AGAINST St George. LOL & FFS.
FTR, the Drags remained top with a classy 34-14 effort.
FWIW, Widdop said the refs blew the whistle before the try was scored so had no choice. Mary said he was grateful.

a good result...I like both teams and the Bunnies (all for different reasons) ... hope neither team copped injuries.
McGregor (and Brown from the Nits for that matter) is coaching well.

Re: Rugby League 2018
Saints first try in the second half came because Cameron Smith had been accidentally smacked in the nads while he was at first marker and while he was collapsing to the ground in pain, the Dragons dummy half scooted past him.

Re: Rugby League 2018
Just watched the Foxy replay of the Drags-Squall game. Pretty comprehensive and impressive win by the Drags. Their defence (except for poor old Jason Nightingale, who Addo-Carr tormented with a hattrick) was outstanding.
The refs' edict to punish offsides and slowing the play the ball has really affected the Storm.

Indeed Q. There's no doubt Bellyache pushed the boundaries of legality in a lot of areas to attain the Storm record.

... and in the game where happily one team must lose, the Mules got done by the Coastal Filth.
This fixture mirrored the AFL match between the Dopers and the Filth.

Re: Rugby League 2018
Bennet had better be serious about losing some of the highly paid crap to retain the young talent. Then the broncs should start looking for a coach without messianic tendencies.

Re: Rugby League 2018
Indeed.
A very uninspiring 1st Half of footy by the Drags. Poor ball control and an uncustomary lack of penetration when they did control it.
They had 57% of the ball and are probably lucky to be only down two converted tries.
Bubble burst??

Bunnies way too good for a disorganised, disinterested and error-prone Dragons.
Hunt had a shocker.
