■ V’landys is backing plans for a 20-team Telstra Premiership;

■ Three new expansion clubs are estimated to be worth $20 million in annual funding support for the next 20 years — a $400 million coup for the NRL;

■ A Pasifika franchise is the shock front-runner to win an 18th NRL licence;

■ The Pasifika club will be based full-time in Cairns and play a number of NRL premiership home games in Samoa, Tonga and Papua New Guinea;

The only other expansion teams to start 2-0 are the Broncos and the Storm

Slimeys were stiff to lose last night v Coastal Filth.

Late in the 2nd Half, they looked to have a perfectly fair try to Campbell-Gillard denied for a forward pass from Gutho. Side-on replays clearly showed a fair pass. The ref was in no position (behind the Filth try line) to call it (unless he got an incorrect call from the Touchie).

They lost 34-30 in the end.

No doubt about the talent if Bennett. He's got the Dolphins humming.

They've just wrapped up a good win against a sloppy Knights.
