Yep. Respect that stance. It isn't a scene to replay, particularly not as much as it has been by F1 themselves.

But yeah, did think that it was a fatal crash given the initial lack of replays.

George Russell -> Mercedes
Aitken-> Williams
Fittipaldi (3 or 4)-> Haas

Quite some changes

I was reading that prior to the announcement corporate bookies were betting 2500/1 that George Russell would win. One punter had $20 on him at that price. After the announcement that he was replacing Hamilton, his price is now about $4. Apparently, the corporate has offered the punter $10,000 cash out option which was accepted.

Perez crosses the line first for the first time in a 190 race career. Ocon second. Russell thwarted by the Mercedes mechanics.

... and he has now doubled up

Extraordinary result in Baku with no Mercedes car in the top 10 and some of the less fancied teams excelling.

Alonso in the top six finishers again.

A changing of the guard?

Well, at least there’s two quite evenly matched teams for once, and the potential for a genuine contest.

Good to see Perez get a result, Red Bull have been searching for a second driver capable of pulling his weight for a good few years. Something Bottas isn’t doing for Mercedes right now.

the slightly more 'current' thread, although it is interesting (on the other thread) to read back on 2015, with Rosberg and Alonso Mark 1 in the mix

Hamilton clips Verstappen's inside rear tyre as they enter lap 1, turn 9 - and shunts Verstappen into the tyre barriers. The stewards should be very interested in this incident - Verstappen clearly had the corner, and Hamilton overplayed his hand.

Only a 10 second penalty for Lewis.

I reckon there’s a chance Max
Could miss a race or two for injury.
