Mercedes hinting at being properly competitive this year.
Be interesting to see if Schumi can still race, given some decent wheels.

If not, he'll park his wide arse in front of everyone below 8th, as he did all last season.

Can't see any team overhauling the charge of Vettell and the Red Bulls TBH.

According to wiki, he's expected to make a full recovery but won't be available at the beginning of this season - or perhaps any of the season.
His recovery was dealt another setback after he re-broke his right leg, when he reportedly slipped on ice near his home in Italy, on 11 January 2012.
D'oh!
Re: Formula One 2012
Shit. Seriously bad luck. Top driver, if not anything else, a proper entertainer.
This is going to be Massa's last season at Ferrari. That's what Luca di Montezemolo was saying towards the end of last year. Then again, he's Italian, so he could well say tomorrow that the contract has been extended for another four years.

Re: Formula One 2012
'twill be very interesting to see how Button and Lewis "click" this season over at Maclaren...
All that BS last season about "team effort and cooperation" .... unless Hamilton steps up to the plate this season and scores heavily I honestly can't see Maclaren renewing his contract ... more effort than it's worth (with all the sniping) it seems.

Hamilton is still basically a child in mentality and behaviour. Still far too petulant.

He's a Formula 1 driver. He's not alone in being some sort of spoilt adult brat.Clamson wrote:Hamilton is still basically a child in mentality and behaviour. Still far too petulant.

FFS, the two Aussies bump into each other in the first corner.
The top 6 at the moment includes 5 world champions and the son of a world champion.

Top race and a top drive by Button. Thankfully, there's no more Hamilton wanking from the commentators.
Did both Mercedes cars retire? Maybe Rosberg limped home but it cost them a handful of points.

To be fair, there didn't seem to be much Hamilton could've done differently today and ended up with a better result. Button beat him to the first corner, and that was pretty much all she wrote.
After that he was screwed by the freak misfortune of someone breaking down while he pitted, causing a safety car and handing Vettel second place.
Re: Formula One 2012
It's more to do with an irritating half arsed platitude ridden stinky commentator we've got to cover races. He used to have his wet dreams about Hamilton on air till the mid part of last year.
Hamilton's not the only twat driver around and isn't the biggest twat either, so I've got no issues with him.

Re: Formula One 2012
Button loves it out front in Melbourne. It's like he has an extra 50 hp at that track.
Feckin' Webber! Has there ever been a more inept starter in a top car? He's had 4 months off to practice & still chokes it.
