it means no ads between overs on Fox Cricket. Ch7 will just say live and free.

They are indeed Nath. I watched bits of it today and enjoyed the Cooper and Biff knocks. The Jelly innings provided a good contest between bat and ball.
Watched a few OP overs and thought he need the gallop. Sids, Ptomaine and Fawad were serviceable, while Boland who came on as second change bowled well and got a bit of movement.
The Vic side was unbalanced with four specialist seamers and a spinner. I expect the Vics were 'instructed' to only bowl OP a certain number of overs.
The Vic openers seem to have had a role switch with Dean being the aggressor (played well) and Harris being the stodgy opener, aiming to bat all day tomorrow.
It is hard to tell when streaming through a laptop but it looked like the pitch offered a bit of pace and life again - thank Zeus. It offered a bit for bowlers and batsmen once set.

Disastrous start for Fox-

Some of the reader comments are very interesting as well.
For me the problem is that Foxtel’s payment structure is badly outdated. In this age of Netflix, it’s preposterous that Foxtel subscribers are still required to purchase a ‘starter pack’ for $25 per month, full of channels that they will never watch, in order to then by a pack for another $25-30 a month that they WILL actually watch.

Better than SA. You have to pay a full sub to get the sport.

Fair call, Trev.
They loss-lead for years. Now that they have a substantial number of subscribers they reckon they can sting like fark. Qunts.

Re: Foxy bid for cricket rights
MerdeMedia over the last five years has lost (or more likely redeployed) the tennis and the EPL and the nightly highlights packages while the home Test matches were on, for those uppity sods among their crowd who have other things (eg jobs) to prioritise during the day. They also might only replay your mob's AFL match once or twice through the next week, but you can see 360 or Couch or the dreaded, excremental 'Bounce' a dozen times if you so wish.
By picking up the cricket, they delayed a very far-reaching cost-to-benefit review, in this house at least.
