if this is accurate, then CA are a total bunch of grubs

That's an utter disgrace and shows all and sundry that it's not what's best for Aussie cricket despite Sutherland's proclamations.

So if Foxtel pulls out, and Seven loses interest, given what their attitude to nine, and what they did to ten, it would be ironic, but just if CA was left with nowhere to go.

Assuming this is all correct, you can see that lawyers will get involved given that 9 and 10 would have spent millions just on the bidding process which didn't follow normal standards of probity.

I wonder if the Murdoch's being punted from Ch 10 had something to do with it as well.

Ultimately, if there was an all FTA bid for $960m which was rejected then CA have done the game in Australia a great disservice.

that would make sense. $1b deal = bonus. $960m deal = no bonus.

Would be ironic if things returned full Circle to the ABC. Laughing

"Leave it to Peever".

The Freedman account was interesting. The deal is stinking prawns in the hubcaps of CA. he was clearly briefed by CBS/10. The one useful thing the deal has done is to consign Charnel Nein to the bin.

I hope to never hear Healy, Slats, Nicholas again.

Seems the Cricket Broadcast shakeup has claimed another victim, with Bill Lawry pulling up Stumps.
Vomit bias aside, light years ahead of the latest lot of commentators.
