Re: Rugby League 2019
Milford and Nikorima have plenty of flair but I question their team organisational skills. I reckon they went missing last night in the latter.

Geez, Tits smashed by the Worriers.
Why does the Gold Coast bother? They should just stick to surfing & sunbaking.

Ye Gods the Tigers v Panthers game last night was dire. The Panthers snatched it late in GP in a travesty of a result after the Tigers missed all 3 shots at goal (including one from right in front) and missed 3 field goal attempts including 1 that hit the post

Aye, it was a dreadful game. Tiges were robbed after clearly outplaying the Choccies.

Re: Rugby League 2019
Decent effort by the Doggies. The class of the Squall overcame them in the end but they did have a conversion attempt (failed) to lock it up at the death.
They were very fragile on their own line and let in a couple of soft tries to hand the Storm the lead in the 2nd half.

Drags get out of gaol again with a Corey Norman field goal.
12-12 at Full Time then multiple shots at FG by both sides before Norman slotted one with 2 mins remaining.

Re: Rugby League 2019
Tigers consigned the Nags to a 1-4 start to season 2019 thanks to some slack Brisvegas defence in the centre of the park on the 5th tackle in the dying minutes.
At 16-16 and on the Nags quarter line, fast moving defence by the Nags stopped a Tigers field goal attempt but they went to sleep against a big back rower playing centre for the Tiges.
Michael Che-kam got the ball near the side line on the quarter after a FG attempt was stifled, then danced and jinked his way first across then ahead past 5 Broncos players to score beside the posts and hand the gallant Tigers a well-earned 22-16 win.
As a late great wee ugly man might have said "a little bit of wee came out".

Now we know why Darius Boyd has, up until this year, only ever played under Bennett.

Kinda sad isn't it? He really needs to retire before his rep is any more tarnished.

Re: Rugby League 2019
To me Milford is the problem. I don't think Boyd had too bad a game, although having Chee Kam step him at the end did make him look a little foolish. But that can happen one-on-one.
As I said above, Milford has brilliant individual skills and flair, but at $1mill a year his job is to organise the team. The Nags started well, but once they started to fatigue Milford should've been barking orders at them. I don't believe he was.
And his lack of calling led to the balls up of a FG attempt in the final 2 minutes, that allowed the Tiges to regain possession and shortly after score the winning try.

Yeah you've summed Milford up well. He's not a driver. As for Boyd. His slack defence is becoming a habit.

Maybe you're right about Boyd. At 31 he's starting to reach "old man" status in the NRL.

I wouldn't be surprised if he retires once he reaches his 300 games in a couple of weeks' time.
Of course, , I will always have a soft spot for him and his outstanding tenure in the Red V jersey. He is one of the most "heads up' footballers I've ever seen.

Hunt and Norman really had their halves combo sorted today and ripped the Dogs a new bumhole for a 40-4 flogging.
Best Drags effort this year. Now no complacency please, boys.
