Hmm, I missed the first one - well done, and yes on the 2nd.
Thanks SGDT for providing some normality in these strange times

I was going to castigate your memory then got the joke. GAE dropped dead after Melbourne. Probably from grief and not the never ending abuse to her 90 year old body, thus I blamed Punter for the hell of it.
There should be an anti award in his honour to any skipper who farked up Ashes series as much as him. Clarke being the current holder.

Re: Trivia 2019
In a recent ODI Kusal Mendis made the team's highest score with a lowly 55 out of a decent SL team total of 307. This low highest score record has only been "bettered" i.e. a lower HS, in two other ODIs. Which ones?
Lowest highest score in an ODI total of >300:

55 - BKG Mendis - SL (307) beat WI, Pallekele, Mar 1, 2020

Re: Trivia 2019
This was something I wasn't aware of till pointed out on twatter recently.
https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/17718/scorecard/62404/england-vs-australia-only-test-australia-tour-of-england-1882
In England's first innings, Spofforth was bowling his 37th over while Tom Garrett and Harry Boyle had bowled a total of 35overs. How was this possible?
I think it's unique in test cricket, but am not sure.

Re: Trivia 2019
- Spoiler:
- Until 1889, it was not possible for a bowler to change his bowling end more than twice in an innings, and he was allowed to bowl two consecutive overs to change ends hence Spofforth's unusual figures in the first innings here.
