FFS!  You get two games for trying to break a qbs leg or someone's neck.  I think there was a comparable incident without the bitchslap that was a fine, and that was in a superbowl.  Someone got four games for felony possession of an armoury of assault weapons.

The Bears traded up so they could pick him as the first QB in 2017, overlooking Mahomes and Watson in the process!

Decisions like that cost franchises Superbowls.

There's a culture thing with teams like Chicago, Buffalo et al.

Sadly for a few of the tanking teams this year, Tua is looking more and more brittle so they'll probably see him as a long term risk come draft time. Gonna be a massive race to get Burrow.

Relax speaking through my kick or lack thereof.  Same with a hatred of Peyton Manning.  Though the sec is a victim of it's own success.  There's even a wierd set of permutations that see them without a rep in the final four.  Though that would require rewarding Clemson for success against a weak schedule.

Clemson will make it if they stay undefeated.

That would se to be the concensus.  Still hoping the CFP does what it's supposed to do in these circumstances, though none of the other candidates had a strong run home with the exception of the vonf v'ship games.

Clemson with their cupcakes will make it, if they are one of the Four best teams in the country is another matter.
LSU win out they will make it , likewise Ohio St, Fourth if Alabama win out should have them in over the Pac 12 champs , if the selection committee reward the Four best teams in the country.

This is the NFL thread, who cares about the schoolboy stuff beyond learning the names of the top draft prospects?

It's more interesting at this time of the year.

The public interest in university sport over here extends only to a bunch of toffs and foreign imports rowing on the Thames once a year.

I kind of get why cities/states with no major league teams (and there’s a lot of them) might get behind their local college team, but don’t really get the nationwide appeal... can you imagine 80,000 turning out to watch Warwick v Birmingham Uni at rugby?
